The Problem
The customer’s home was built 25 years ago, and what was in style then no longer is. The cabinets were as old as the home, so the doors weren’t opening and closing right, the drawers weren’t as smooth as they used to be, and the layout of the kitchen just didn’t maximize the space - the homeowner needed help!
Project Scope
The customer was undecided between replacing their cabinets with semi-custom or custom options. By choosing custom cabinets, they were able to incorporate an additional wall of cabinetry that was shallower than the standard depth. We provided them with custom-fit cabinets, including a dry bar, to maximize the space in their kitchen.
Project Materials
Our custom cabinetry line features all-plywood construction, dovetailed drawer boxes, solid wood door frames, and is available in any color or finish our customers choose. This customer opted for a brilliant white finish with shaker-style doors and drawer fronts.
What Made This Project Unique?
The depth of the cabinets was critical to fitting into the space in order to provide more cabinetry for the kitchen.
The customer wanted the island legs to stand out and not resemble furniture legs. To achieve the desired proportions that matched the island's width, we used robust 6” x 6” legs seen in the pictures below.
How Long Did the Project Take to Complete?
The entire cabinetry build and install took six weeks to complete.
